Messi 2e, Benzema 4e, Muller 7e : Voici le top des meilleurs buteurs de l’histoire de la ligue des champions

Créée en 1955, la ligue des champions a démarré sa 68 édition ce jour. Cette 68e édition sera marquée par l’absence d’une légende du football qui a réussi à marquer d’une empreinte indélébile cette compétition. Il s’agit du quintuple Ballon d’Or Cristiano Ronaldo. Un boulevard semble donc tracer pour ses concurrents pour le titre record du meilleur buteur de l’histoire de la ligue des champions.

 

Auteur de 140 buts en 183 rencontres, Cristiano Ronaldo détient le record  de buts dans la plus prestigieuse compétition d’europe. Malheureusement la non qualification de Manchester United pour la ligue des champions et un transfert non trouvé fait du quintuple Ballon d’Or le grand absent de la 68e édition de la ligue des champions saison 2022-2023. Une opportunité s’ouvre ainsi pour son challenger de tout les temps qui peut se rapprocher ou dépasser ce chiffre record de 140 buts.

Deuxième au classement avec 125 buts en 156 matchs, Lionel Messi est à 15 buts du record de l’international portugais. Un chiffres que l’international argentin peut attendre s’il n’est pas trop impliqué dans l’organisation et la distribution des passes. Un rôle dans lequel il évolue actuellement au sein de la formation du Paris Saint-Germain derrière Neymar Jr et Kylian Mbappe.

Outre Lionel Messi, plusieurs d’autres joueurs pourront se faire une place dans la course au titre du meilleur buteur. Il s’agit Robert Lewandowski qui occupe la troisième place derrière Lionel Messi. Avec 86 buts en 106 rencontres l’attaquant du FC Barcelone devance le français Karim Benzema (4e avec 86 buts en 142 matchs). Encore en activité l’allemand Thomas Müller et le géant suédois Zlatan Ibrahimovic occupent respectivement la 7e place avec 52 buts en 134 rencontres et la 9e place avec 48 buts en 124 matchs.
